It's important for any video to have captions.Why? Captioning your videos offers an extra layer of accessibility and enables more people to enjoy your course content. Captions also provide context for those who may not be able to hear or understand what is being said in the video or audio.
Coursium provides you an easy way on how you can generate and edit your video captions by following the steps below.
1. When you upload a video to Coursium, the captions are automatically being generated or added to the videos.
2. If you want to edit the caption for that specific time, just click on the ‘Edit’ icon and if you want to delete a caption, click on the ‘Delete’ icon.
The same process applies to other captions as well.
3. When you make any edit or corrections, make sure to click the ‘Sync’ button then the ‘Re-Generate Captions’ after editing to sync the new changes to the currently selected video.
Note: The syncing does not happen automatically. It takes the same time as it took to transcribe the video in the first place.
